Past two weeks

A certain family member complained to me yesterday that I hadn't posted in like two weeks...so this post is for you! Since Steve has been super busy studying for and taking finals, Tyler and I have been doing our own thing. As any of us with toddlers know, they are creatures of imitation. Tyler sees Steve wearing his wireless blue tooth headphones and, of course, needs to see what all the fuss is about.

The first weekend in December, while Steve was studying, Tyler and I headed up to the Festival of Trees with my family. I had been prepping Tyler all week to meet Santa. I didn't want him to scream or anything. I kept telling him "Santa is nice, he will give you candy!" (Yes, I bribe my child!) Tyler was barely hesitant at first, then he realized who was holding him and said "SANTA!" We even got this picture on the first try. Since then, he has said, "Santa lap, candy cane!" a few times a day.

Also at the Festival, my aunt and I saw the tree entitled "A Cullen Christmas" It was a very creative tree. Thanks to my aunt for being in the picture with me. And yes, we did get weird looks from people.

Tyler really enjoyed all the Christmas trees, goodies and sounds of the Festival. He sure is my best little buddy!

At lastly, I think Tyler may have a future in high dive swimming. Lately he has decided to become who we call "Compact Tyler." He only needs to work on pointing the toes, and I think we've got a real shot at 2028!

Ahh the festival of trees, I miss it a lot. I am glad you get your husband back also, it is kinda rough having to do it all alone.

You guys are so cute. I totally thought of you during that "new words" song at the Tabernacle choir concert on Friday. I think someone should make up a song about teaching their baby to say words like "thermometer" and "lasagna"

"Compact Tyler" is awesome! What a fun picture.
It looks like you and Tyler have had a lot of Christmas fun. I feel kind of bad that poor Guy doesn't get out of the house much anymore. Before I had the baby I used to take him places all the time... Being a mom of two I now feel guilty sometimes that I can't give him all the attention that I used to.
Jared was able to take Guy to the ward Christmas party (Max was only a week old) and Guy was probably the only kid there that didn't cry when he sat on Santa's lap!

Glad to see that Santa went over better for Tyler than it did for Tayah. I think she is going to hate Christmas for the rest of her life. Cute pictures.

Tyler is H-U-G-E! He is changing from toddler to Little Boy!

We live in a downtown, office-y area and so the Brazilian Santa at the mall across the street is always super bored! I fear my Portugese isn't good enough to introduce Grant to Papai Noel, though.

That last picture is absolutely awesome! I took Will to the Festival of Trees, too, but he just wanted to play with all of the toys that were underneath the trees. When I showed him Santa there was a little boy wearing a Lightning McQueen backpack. Sure enough, that's what Will remember- "Naning the Queen!!!!!!!" Gotta love it.

Also, I BELIEVE IN BRIBERY.
